The album Riding the Stars is almost completed. I listened to a final mix comprising of seven of the total nine songs for the first time today. Ron Zebron, the producer of the CD, has done an incredible job with musical arrangements, while maintaining the raw energy and live rock sound upon which Story Teller has developed their reputation. Ron has worked tirelessly with owners and engineers Mark Prator and John Wesley at Tampa's Red Room Recorders to develop, what I believe, is the best rock album of the decade. Story Teller will have the same impact upon today's music as Nirvana had in the 1990's. Each song on the CD is amazingly good, creative, and unlike anything I've ever heard before. But yet they are a rock band, and bring forth the same degree of difference and individuality that formed the identities of some of the most creative rock bands in history. Today, for the first time, I listened to the Doors' debut release, Here's the Sex Pistols, and Nirvana's Nevermind. Today, I listened to Story Teller's Riding the Stars.
